Allover patterns repeat across the fabric. Borders frame its edges, while placed prints arrange individual motifs in specific positions. The photographs help you see which details sit on the tabletop and which fall over the sides. Picture your plates and serving dishes in place: they will become part of the arrangement.

For a tablecloth you will use often, consider colors already present in your home. For a celebration, a different print can give familiar dinnerware a fresh setting.

Build your setting around an unexpected color

Look beyond the dominant shade. There may be a trace of violet in a petal, ochre in a leaf or a particular green in the stems. Pick up that detail with solid-color linen napkins and let the rest of the setting develop around it.

Pink flowers can work beautifully with green ceramics; leafy prints invite amber glass; warm botanical colors can take on a different mood beside blue plates. If you enjoy mixing patterns, try a shared color with a change of scale, such as a generous floral print alongside a small motif on the rim of a plate.

You can also layer a shorter printed cloth over a larger solid-color tablecloth. The fabric beneath becomes a visible frame, adding another shade and texture to the setting.

Look closely at the fabric and finishing

Printed linen tablecloths reveal the character of the weave as the cloth moves and drapes. Cotton, hemp and natural-fiber blends offer different textures. Weight, weave and finishing matter alongside fiber content when you are considering how a cloth will feel on your table.

How to choose a tablecloth size

Measure your tabletop with any extension leaves you plan to use. A drop of approximately 10–12 inches on each side is a useful starting point. Consider your chairs, armrests and the placement of the print when deciding how far the cloth should fall.

For a rectangular table, add twice your chosen drop to both the tabletop length and width.

These are sizing examples, not a list of available dimensions. Compare your calculation with the sizes offered for the design. Where measurements are listed in centimeters, divide by 2.54 to convert to inches. A 170 × 270 cm cloth is approximately 67 × 106 inches; its drop will depend on your tabletop proportions.

Custom sizing for selected prints

Some designs are available as custom-size printed tablecloths. Fabric width, seam allowances and motif placement determine what can be made. An allover print may allow more flexibility, while a border or placed design needs to retain its intended proportions.

For a custom tablecloth, send us the design name, your table's shape and dimensions, your preferred drop and details of any extensions. We will confirm whether the size is possible, along with a quotation and production timing, before you order. Round and oval shapes must be checked against the chosen fabric and print.

Caring for your printed tablecloth

Check the individual care instructions before washing. Fiber content, printing and finishing can call for different treatment, so follow the specified washing temperature, drying method and ironing guidance for your piece. Coordinating pieces vary by collection. If matching printed napkins are not offered, a solid color can pick up a detail in the design or introduce a new combination. Check the product page for the pieces available with your chosen tablecloth.

When will my tablecloth ship?

Check availability for the specific design and size. Custom orders also require production time. Dispatch and delivery timing depend on the order and destination; please contact us before purchasing if you need your tablecloth for a particular date.
