Simplicity is the golden rule with Magnolia Allover. Pure white ceramics, transparent crystal, silver or steel cutlery. Natural linen napkins or napkins in a soft dusty pink — echoing the lighter tones of the design — complete the service with discretion. Avoid colourful or decorated plates that would compete with the print.

For those who enjoy botanical contrast, black-and-white botanical prints on the wall — as in the image — make an exceptionally elegant pairing: the same botanical world, two opposite visual languages.

Magnolia Allover also works as an upper layer in the double tablecloth technique, laid over a natural white or écru vintage linen base. The base emerges at the sides as a second, clean and neutral layer, balancing the force of the main design.

Will my tablecloth look exactly like the one in the image? Because of the large scale of the allover design, every cut reveals a slightly different composition. Two tablecloths of the same dimensions may have flowers distributed differently across the surface — this is one of the characteristics of an artisan product with a large-scale motif, and part of what makes each piece unique.

Does the print fade with washing? Digital print on linen is designed to withstand repeated machine washes at 40°C (104°F). Over time the colour acquires a subtle patina consistent with the watercolour aesthetic — not a flaw, but part of the character of the cloth. Do not bleach.

Is Magnolia Allover available as a round tablecloth? Yes, up to 170 cm (67″) in diameter, made to order. This size is well-suited to round dining tables seating 6 to 8 guests with a generous drop. For larger round tables, our vintage linen plain cloths are available up to 290 cm (114″) in diameter.

Can I order a custom size for a large rectangular table? Yes. We make almost any size on request, depending on the width of the fabric available. The large scale of the magnolia design suits long tables particularly well — the flowers have room to express themselves fully across the surface.

What table setting works best with Magnolia Allover? Keep it simple. White ceramics, transparent glassware, natural linen or dusty pink napkins. Magnolia Allover is the protagonist of the table and does not need decorative support — the less you add, the more the design comes forward. Colourful or heavily decorated plates risk creating visual competition with the print.
