Linen Tablecloth Tunera

Price range: $219.21 through $338.40

The Tunera prickly pear linen tablecloth captures the Mediterranean landscape through a fresh, expressive watercolor print. Green cactus paddles and red fruit unfold across a light linen ground, creating a botanical design that feels bright in a dining room and entirely at home on a sheltered terrace.

Made from 100% linen, Tunera is originally designed and produced in Italy by Tessitura Toscana Telerie. This is classic linen rather than stone-washed linen, with a more polished initial hand and a naturally graceful drape. It is not coated or stain resistant.

Tunera comes in three fixed rectangular sizes—63 × 90, 67 × 106, and 67 × 142 inches—and is not available in custom dimensions. For a table larger than the available sizes, layer it over a generously sized solid-color linen undercloth and finish the setting with coordinating solid linen napkins.

Description

A Mediterranean landscape painted on linen

Tunera draws its character from the sculptural prickly pear cactus. Soft watercolor transitions temper the green paddles, while red fruit adds warmth. The pale background gives dinnerware and glassware breathing room without diminishing the print.

On natural wood, Tunera creates a warm, relaxed setting. With ivory ceramics, clear glass, and restrained flatware, it takes on a more polished character. Especially compelling for summer lunches and entertaining in a covered outdoor area, it also works year-round in bright interiors where color is introduced through a few intentional pieces.

Pure linen, designed and made by Tessitura Toscana Telerie

Tunera is made from 100% linen by Tessitura Toscana Telerie, which is responsible for both the original artwork and the finished tablecloth. La Bottega di Casa selects and retails this piece; it is not cut or sewn in our Follina atelier.

The fabric is not stone washed. It has the neater appearance and slightly crisper initial hand of classic linen, becoming more supple with use. Subtle variations in the yarn belong to the natural material. Because Tunera has no coating or stain-resistant finish, spills should be treated promptly.

Fixed sizes: Tunera is not made to measure
Shape Available size Metric size
Rectangular 63 × 90 in 160 × 230 cm
Rectangular 67 × 106 in 170 × 270 cm
Rectangular 67 × 142 in 170 × 360 cm

These dimensions are fixed: Tunera cannot be shortened, lengthened, or produced as a round tablecloth. To choose a size, add twice your preferred drop to both tabletop dimensions. A 10–12 inch drop on each side is generally well balanced.

For a larger table, use a sufficiently generous solid linen tablecloth underneath and place Tunera on top. The undercloth provides full coverage; Tunera becomes the decorative upper layer without physically extending its dimensions.

Pairing Tunera with solid linen

For a light setting, layer Tunera over a solid-color linen tablecloth in natural, ivory, or flax. To emphasize the print, choose cactus green or fruit red while keeping the dinnerware neutral.

Add solid-color linen napkins. A tone-on-tone neutral gives quiet-luxury restraint; green or red creates a livelier accent. Limiting the palette to two principal colors keeps the watercolor design central.

Caring for a prickly pear linen tablecloth

Before first use, you may briefly soak the tablecloth in cold water without detergent. Machine wash at 104 °F (40 °C) with mild detergent, avoiding bleach and harsh stain removers. Do not tumble dry; air dry and iron while the linen is slightly damp, preferably from the reverse. Treat spills promptly with water and mild soap.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Tunera tablecloth made from?

It is made from 100% linen. The fabric is classic linen, not stone washed.

Who designs and makes the prickly pear linen tablecloth?

Both the original artwork and the finished tablecloth are by Tessitura Toscana Telerie. La Bottega di Casa selects and retails the product.

Is Tunera available in custom or round sizes?

No. It is offered only in the three listed rectangular sizes and cannot be customized.

How can I use Tunera on a very large table?

Solid linen napkins in natural, ivory, green, or red work well, depending on the color selected for the undercloth.

Is the tablecloth stain resistant, and how should I wash it?

It is not coated or stain resistant. Machine wash at 104 °F, avoid bleach and tumble drying, and iron while slightly damp.

About La Bottega di Casa

La Bottega di Casa grew from a family textile tradition in the Prosecco Hills of northern Italy. In our Follina atelier, we create many of our natural-fiber collections with careful cutting and tailored finishing; alongside them, we select pieces from Italian textile makers, including Tunera, for their quality and distinctive point of view. Our shop in San Miguel de Allende brings this Italian sensibility to an international clientele. We offer personal guidance on dimensions, colors, and combinations for every table.
