Hemp Tablecloth Impressionismo

Price range: $236.67 through $300.96

The Impressionismo hemp tablecloth turns the tabletop into a soft botanical composition. Its watercolor print moves from natural white into layered greens, with touches of yellow and ochre recalling leaves in shifting sunlight. Made in Italy by L’Arcolaio from 100% prewashed hemp crêpe, it combines a tactile surface with an expressive design that leaves room for simple tableware.

It is offered exclusively in three rectangular sizes: 67 × 94, 67 × 110, and 67 × 126 inches (170 × 240, 170 × 280, and 170 × 320 cm). Custom sizes are not available. On an oversized dining table, layer Impressionismo over a larger solid-color Vintage linen tablecloth. The base provides full coverage while the printed hemp becomes the decorative upper layer. Complete the setting with solid-color Vintage linen napkins.

Description

A botanical print shaped by light

Impressionismo is not built around a rigid geometric repeat. Leaves, branches, and layered color overlap like brushstrokes, creating translucent passages beside deeper greens. The pale ground keeps the composition light, while yellow and ochre warm the botanical palette.

The design changes with the folds and drape. Darker sections gain depth along the sides, while quieter areas keep plates and glassware clearly defined. It works in a contemporary dining room, a thoughtfully furnished country home, or outdoors, especially with simple ceramics and clear glass.

Prewashed hemp crêpe made by L’Arcolaio

Hemp is valued for its strength and tactile character. The crêpe construction creates a gently irregular surface, while the prewashed finish gives the cloth a more relaxed drape. Subtle variations in the weave and folds belong to the fabric’s natural expression.

The tablecloth is made in Italy by L’Arcolaio. It is selected and retailed by La Bottega di Casa, but not cut or sewn in our Follina workshop.

Three rectangular sizes only
Tablecloth size Metric size Shape
67 × 94 in 170 × 240 cm Rectangular
67 × 110 in 170 × 280 cm Rectangular
67 × 126 in 170 × 320 cm Rectangular

To estimate the drop, subtract the table dimensions from the tablecloth dimensions and divide each difference by two. Approximately 10–14 inches generally suits most dining tables.

Impressionismo cannot be custom sized: its width, length, and shape cannot be altered. If your table is larger than the available formats, choose a solid-color Vintage linen undercloth large enough to cover the tabletop and provide the desired drop. Center Impressionismo above it as a decorative layer. For help comparing the proportions, send us your table measurements through the contact page.

Layering with Vintage linen

For a light, quiet setting, pair Impressionismo with solid-color Vintage linen napkins in ivory or cream. Frosty Green creates a tonal connection with the foliage, while Honey Gold picks up the yellow and ochre notes with a warmer contrast.

For an oversized table, use a solid-color tablecloth in Vintage linen as the foundation, sized to cover the table fully. Center the printed cloth on top and leave an even linen border visible. This layered arrangement addresses the fixed dimensions while adding color and depth.

Caring for your hemp tablecloth

Machine wash at 104°F / 40°C with mild detergent and similar colors. Do not bleach or tumble dry. Air dry and iron while slightly damp, following the care label. Impressionismo is not coated or stain resistant, so treat spills promptly.
