Is this grey linen tablecloth machine washable? Yes. Vintage linen is machine washable at 40°C (104°F). It actually improves with every wash — the fibre softens further and the hand becomes even more supple over time.

Can I order a grey linen tablecloth in a custom size? Yes. We make any size to order. We just need the length and width of your table and how much drop you would like on each side. We do not look for the closest standard size — we cut exactly what you need.

What size tablecloth do I need for a large dining table? As a guide, add at least 30–40 cm (12–16″) to each side of your table for a generous drop. For an extra large tablecloth — say for a table that seats 10, 12, or more — we recommend sending us your exact measurements rather than working from standard sizes. We will cut precisely to your table.

What is stonewashed linen and why does it feel different? Stonewashed linen has been treated to relax and soften the fibre before you ever use it. Unlike untreated linen, which can feel stiff initially, it drapes immediately, feels soft from first use, and has a gently lived-in texture that only becomes more beautiful with time and washing.
