The Fauna Royal Blue Table Runner is woven from 100% pure linen damask by Tessitura Pardi, an Italian textile mill renowned for its traditional weaving expertise.
The butterfly design is woven into the fabric rather than printed. The reversible construction offers two distinctive looks: one side features a royal blue background with natural linen butterflies, while the reverse reveals royal blue butterflies against a natural linen ground.
When ordering, you can select the side you would like presented as the main face. The runner remains fully reversible, allowing you to change the mood of your table whenever you wish.
Each piece is cut from a continuous-pattern textile, so the arrangement of the butterflies varies naturally from one runner to another. Available in standard and custom sizes.

One Reversible Runner, Two Distinctive Looks
The Fauna Royal Blue linen table runner brings together the natural character of pure linen and the subtle depth of traditional Italian damask.
Because the fabric is beautiful on both sides, the same runner offers two different interpretations of the butterfly motif. On one face, the royal blue ground creates an expressive field from which the natural linen butterflies emerge with a soft, luminous contrast. The reverse places the butterflies in the foreground: royal blue silhouettes and delicate wing details appear against a quieter natural linen background.
You may choose which side is presented as the main face when placing your order. This choice does not limit how the runner can be used: it remains fully reversible and can be turned over whenever you want to give the table a lighter, more neutral appearance or a stronger note of color.
A Butterfly Design Woven into the Linen
Fauna is not a printed fabric. Its butterflies are formed directly on the loom through the changing interlacement of the linen threads.
This damask technique allows different areas of the weave to catch and reflect the light in contrasting ways. Turning the runner over reverses the relationship between the royal blue color and the natural linen, revealing the second version of the same design.
Since the motif is an integral part of the textile rather than a surface print, it will not disappear with washing. Over time, pure linen develops a softer hand while retaining the distinctive texture and luminosity of the woven pattern.
The Fauna textile has a continuous, freely distributed butterfly design. Each runner is cut from a different section of the fabric, which means that the position, size and sequence of the butterflies will vary slightly from one piece to another.
Your runner may therefore differ from the photographs or from another Fauna runner. This natural variation is part of its character and ensures that every piece has an individual composition.
With its generous 50 cm width, this reversible linen runner can be placed directly on a wooden, stone or glass tabletop or layered over a solid-color tablecloth.
The royal blue side creates a confident focal point and works especially well with white ceramics, clear glassware and natural materials. The reverse side, with blue butterflies on a natural linen ground, has a more relaxed and understated character, ideal for rustic tables, contemporary interiors and informal outdoor settings.
For a layered table, pair it with a white, ivory, natural, taupe-gray or light blue linen tablecloth. On larger tables, two runners can also be arranged across the width of the table or placed parallel to create individual settings.
The Fauna Royal Blue Runner can be paired with the coordinating Fauna Royal Blue damask linen placemat, woven from the same pure linen fabric. Because every item is cut from a different section of the textile, the pieces coordinate naturally without looking mechanically identical.

How should I wash the linen runner?
Machine wash at 40°C using a mild detergent. Steam iron the runner while it is still slightly damp to help restore the characteristic sheen of the linen damask.
