The Fauna Giallo is a reversible table runner made from 100% linen damask, artisanally woven on traditional looms in central Italy.
The butterfly motif is not printed on the surface. It is created directly by the weave and offers a different color effect on each side. One side features a yellow ground with natural-colored butterflies; the other shows yellow butterflies on a natural linen ground.
When ordering, you may select which side you would like featured as the main side. The runner remains fully reversible and can be turned over whenever you want to change the look of your table.
Each runner is cut from a continuous-pattern fabric, so the placement of the butterflies will always vary slightly. Available in two standard sizes and as a custom-size table runner.

A Reversible Runner, Two Interpretations
The Fauna Giallo table runner is woven from pure linen damask that is beautiful on both sides. The structure of the weave creates two color interpretations of the same butterfly motif: simply turn the runner over to change the character of the table.
On the first side, the yellow ground takes center stage while the natural-colored butterflies appear in a softer contrast. The effect is warm and luminous, well suited to summer tables and interiors featuring wood, stone and natural tones.
On the second side, the yellow butterflies stand out against the natural linen ground. The design becomes more prominent, while the overall look feels more neutral, textural and contemporary.
At the time of purchase, you can choose which side you would like featured as the main side. The runner remains fully reversible, allowing you to use either face whenever you wish.
A Woven Design, Not a Print
The butterflies in the Fauna Rustica collection are not applied or printed onto the surface. The motif is created directly through the interlacing of the threads using the damask weaving technique.
The direction of the weave reflects light differently on each side, creating the characteristic exchange between the ground and the butterfly design. The butterflies appear natural against yellow on one side and yellow against natural linen on the other, even though both belong to the same fabric.
Because the pattern is part of the fabric’s structure, it has a depth that a surface print cannot reproduce. With use and washing, the pure linen gradually develops a softer, more natural hand.
Fauna Rustica linen is woven with a continuous butterfly pattern. Each table runner is cut from a different section of the fabric, so the exact placement of the butterflies will not be identical to another runner or to the product photographs.
This natural variation is not a flaw. It is an intrinsic feature of the fabric and gives every reversible linen table runner its own individual composition.
At 19 inches wide, this runner can be styled in several ways. Place it directly on a wood, stone or glass table to leave part of the surface visible, or layer it down the center of a solid-color linen tablecloth.
