Rio Floral Linen Table Runner

Price range: $70.59 through $93.36

The Rio floral linen table runner brings an exuberant composition of flowers and botanical forms to natural linen, painted in blue, fuchsia, coral, yellow, and green. The pure linen fabric by Tessitura Toscana Telerie is cut and tailored by La Bottega di Casa in its workshop in Follina, Italy.

Because Rio is cut from a continuous-pattern fabric, the placement of the motifs varies on every runner. The colors and overall character remain consistent, but no two pieces can be perfectly identical.

Available in two standard sizes, it can also be custom-made for a particular table.

Description

A floral linen runner that embraces color

Rio approaches the table with freedom. Large painterly flowers, leaves, and smaller graphic elements meet across a natural linen ground, creating a pattern that is lively, expressive, and carefully balanced.

The runner gives the table a strong identity without covering it completely. It leaves the wood, stone, or underlying tablecloth visible while concentrating color along the center. The quality of the linen and the care of the tailoring bring refinement; the unexpected palette gives Rio the confident, individual spirit of La Bottega di Casa.

Although it feels naturally at home at a summer lunch or on a sunlit terrace, Rio is not limited to one season. It can brighten an informal kitchen table or bring color to an indoor dinner setting at any time of year.

Every Rio runner is unique

The runner is cut from a fabric featuring a continuous design. The exact position of the flowers, leaves, and different shades therefore changes from one cut to another.

Every Rio runner shares the same pattern and palette, but each piece reveals its own composition. This variation is not a flaw: it is an inherent quality of the fabric and makes every runner naturally one of a kind.

Small variations in the weave, thread thickness, or surface may also be visible. These are normal characteristics of pure linen and part of the fabric’s authentic beauty.

Standard and custom sizes

The Rio runner is available in two standard sizes:

  • 50 × 170 cm / approximately 20 × 67 in, suitable for smaller tables or for a runner that remains primarily on the tabletop;
  • 50 × 240 cm / approximately 20 × 94 in, designed for longer tables or for a drop at both ends.

Rio can also be custom-made. Send us the dimensions of your table and tell us how you would like the runner to sit. We can recommend a balanced length and confirm feasibility and price.

How to style the Rio runner

Rio can be placed directly on wood or stone, allowing the natural linen ground to create a soft transition between the tabletop and the vivid print. It can also be layered over a solid-color tablecloth for a richer and more personal setting.

White or ivory plates allow the pattern to remain the focus. Handcrafted ceramics, clear crystal, or green glassware enhance its relaxed Mediterranean character.

For the napkins, choose one color from the print or mix several shades around the table. Raspberry, green, lobster coral, and mauve create expressive yet harmonious combinations; natural linen offers a quieter alternative.

The Rio collection

The Rio collection offers the same distinctive pattern in different formats, making it possible to adapt the design to the size of the table and the style of the setting.

Pair the runner with the Rio linen tablecloth, Rio linen placemat, or Rio linen napkin. The tablecloth, runner, and placemat can also be made to measure.

There is no need to use every matching piece together. Rio is especially beautiful when combined freely with solid tablecloths and napkins in colors drawn from the pattern.

About La Bottega di Casa

La Bottega di Casa grew from an Italian tradition centered on natural fabrics and finely tailored household linens. In our Follina workshop in the Prosecco Hills, we select Italian textiles and make tablecloths, runners, placemats, and other table linens with careful attention to cut, proportion, and finishing.

From our store in San Miguel de Allende and through our online service, we personally help clients choose the sizes, colors, and coordinating pieces best suited to their homes.
