Natural fibers and Italian jacquard weaving
The Intersezioni table runner brings together the distinctive texture of hemp and the quality of Egyptian cotton in a balanced natural-fiber fabric.
Colored yarn is jacquard-woven with hemp in its original natural shade, creating a geometric pattern that feels structured without appearing formal. The contrasting fibers give the design depth while preserving the relaxed character of the cloth.
The fabric is made by L’Arcolaio, an Italian weaving mill based in Abruzzo, near the foothills of the Gran Sasso. The mill applies traditional jacquard techniques to contemporary textiles woven from natural yarns, including hemp, cotton and linen.
La Bottega di Casa has worked with L’Arcolaio for many years, selecting pieces from its collections and collaborating with the mill on other exclusive products.
A narrow corded finish runs along both sides of the runner, while the fringed ends emphasize the natural texture of the fabric.
Its standard 50 × 160 cm — approximately 20 × 63 in — size works well on many rectangular dining tables. It may be placed directly over wood or layered over a plain tablecloth for a more complete setting.
