Datura Tea Towel

Flowers falling downward, as if still growing.

The datura is a flower that doesn’t look upward — its trumpets hang, open downward, with a soft gravity that no other flower shares. In this tea towel, the design honours that logic: deep green leaves occupy the upper portion, flowers descend in a continuous movement, opening their frilled corollas in a gradation of lilac, blush and near-white. The watercolour is so light that in places the linen shows through the colour — as if the flowers were still deciding whether to appear or dissolve.

Hung on a hook, the design reads from top to bottom exactly as the plant grows: leaves, stems, flowers. A composition with its own direction, its own gravity, its own internal logic.
