Small irregularities in the weave, variations in thickness and occasional slubs are not defects. They are natural characteristics of linen and traditional weaving.

Our collaboration with this historic Umbrian manufacturer also includes the selection of its fabrics by the meter. In our Follina atelier, we use these fabrics to create tablecloths, table runners and placemats, available in standard sizes or made to measure, including very large dimensions.

La Bottega di Casa is an Italian home-linen atelier based in Follina, in the Prosecco Hills of the Veneto region.

In our workshop, we select fine Italian and European textiles and transform them into tablecloths, runners, placemats, napkins and household linens, including made-to-measure pieces and very large formats.

Since 2000, our store in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, has brought Italian textile culture and the distinctive style of La Bottega di Casa to an international clientele.

Alongside the collections created in our own atelier, we offer selected pieces from Italian manufacturers that share our passion for natural fibers and traditional craftsmanship, including the linen towels woven by Tessitura Pardi.

Where is the Ape towel made?
It is made in Umbria by Tessitura Pardi, a historic Italian textile manufacturer, using pure linen woven on traditional looms.

What is the towel made from?
It is made from 100% linen.

Are the towels made in the Follina atelier?
No. Ape towels are made directly by Tessitura Pardi in Umbria and offered by La Bottega di Casa. In our Follina workshop, we use Tessitura Pardi fabrics by the meter to create tablecloths, runners and placemats.

Are the towels sold as a set?
No. Each towel is sold individually, allowing customers to select their preferred quantities, sizes and colors.

Which sizes are available?
The Ape towel is available in a small 62 × 45 cm size and a large 124 × 70 cm size.

Can the towels be custom made?
The towels are offered exclusively in the available standard sizes. Tablecloths, runners and placemats created by La Bottega di Casa using Tessitura Pardi fabrics can, however, be made to measure, including very large sizes

Why is linen suitable for towels?
Linen is highly absorbent, breathable, durable and quick drying. Its lightly textured surface also provides a gentle massaging and exfoliating action.

Does linen become softer over time?
Yes. Linen naturally becomes softer with use and washing while retaining its strength and distinctive texture.
