Linen that does not need to look perfect
A stonewashed linen duvet cover gives the bed an effortless, personal elegance. Its surface is neither stiff nor glossy: soft creases, subtle irregularities in the weave and natural variations in light and shade are all part of the fabric’s character.
The linen falls naturally over the bed and changes appearance as the light moves across the room. Its quiet luxury comes from the quality of the fiber, the careful craftsmanship and the freedom to use color in a way that feels individual rather than conventional.
The fabric and craftsmanship
This linen duvet cover set is made from 100% linen woven by Camillatex, an Italian textile manufacturer established in 1962 and specializing in pure linen and cotton for the home.
The stonewashed treatment washes and softens the fiber before the fabric is cut and sewn. The duvet cover therefore feels comfortable from the first use, without the breaking-in period often associated with untreated linen. Prewashing also helps keep subsequent shrinkage to a minimum.
Linen allows air to circulate and absorbs moisture well, making the duvet cover suitable for year-round use. Simply change the weight of the duvet insert according to the season.
Cutting and sewing take place in our Follina workshop in the province of Treviso, with careful attention to proportion, drape and finishing.
Color becomes part of the texture rather than sitting flat on its surface. The six shades create very different moods, ranging from luminous natural tones to richer, less predictable choices.
- Barolo: a deep wine red between burgundy and garnet.
- Frosty Green: a pale, powdery sage green softened with grey undertones.
- Old Rose: a muted, tactile antique pink with notes of clay and pale terracotta.
- Panna: a warm, luminous ivory, softer than optical white.
- Sand: a natural beige inspired by sand and pale stone.
- Sunset: a warm, deep orange combining terracotta, pumpkin and sunset tones.
Colors may appear slightly different depending on the room’s lighting and screen settings. The stonewashed texture also creates natural variations in tone.
Each set includes:
- 1 duvet cover
- 1 coordinating pillowcase with single sizes
- 2 coordinating pillowcases with double, Queen and King sizes
Additional pillowcases are available upon request. The duvet cover can also be paired with our coordinating stonewashed linen sheet set, either in the same color or in a more personal two-color combination.

Before ordering, we recommend measuring the duvet insert—not only the mattress—and comparing both its width and length with the dimensions in the table.
If the standard dimensions do not fit your duvet insert, we can create a custom linen duvet cover, subject to feasibility. To prepare a quotation, we need the exact width and length of the insert.
Sets that are available in stock normally arrive within one week. Production time for custom sizes is confirmed when the order is placed and depends on the requested dimensions and our workshop schedule; delivery normally takes no longer than 15 days.
Choose the duvet cover and sheets in the same shade for an enveloping, tone-on-tone bed. For something more personal, combine Panna or Sand with Barolo, Sunset, Old Rose or Frosty Green.
Contrasting pillowcases offer another simple way to change the character of the room while preserving the harmony of the linen. If you would like advice, send us the colors of your bedroom and we will suggest two or three specific combinations.
Machine wash at 40°C with a mild detergent, separating light and dark colors. Do not use bleach or aggressive products, as they can alter the color and weaken the fiber.
Natural air drying helps preserve the linen. Tumble drying is not recommended because it causes greater wear to both fibers and colors. Stonewashed linen can be used without ironing, allowing its relaxed texture to remain visible. For a smoother finish, steam iron while the fabric is still slightly damp.
Always follow the care instructions on the product label.
La Bottega di Casa is based in Follina, in the Prosecco Hills of Treviso. In our workshop, we select natural fabrics and create table and bed linens with close attention to cutting, proportion and finishing.
Since the early 2000s, we have also had a store in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and we ship worldwide. Our work combines Italian craftsmanship, excellent materials and a personal vision of elegance—refined, relaxed and unafraid of color.
What does the duvet cover set include?
It includes one duvet cover and one or two coordinating pillowcases, depending on the selected size.
Is the duvet cover made from pure linen?
Yes. It is made from 100% stonewashed linen woven by Camillatex in Northern Italy and cut and sewn in our Follina workshop.
Is the linen already soft?
Yes. The stonewashed treatment washes and softens the fiber before the duvet cover is made, so it feels comfortable from the first use.
Can a linen duvet cover be used year-round?
Yes. Linen is breathable and absorbs moisture well. A lighter duvet insert can be used during warmer months and a heavier one in winter.
How do I choose the correct size?
Measure the exact width and length of your duvet insert and compare them with the size table. Mattress size alone is not enough to determine the correct duvet cover.
Can the duvet cover be custom-made?
Yes, subject to feasibility. We need the exact width and length of the duvet insert to prepare a quotation.
Can I coordinate it with matching linen sheets?
Yes. The stonewashed linen sheet set is available in the same six colors, which can be used tone on tone or combined freely.
