The Primavera Tablecloth is made from 100% linen jacquard, hand-loomed by an artisan mill in Southern Italy and finished in our own atelier in Follina, in the Prosecco Hills, with the same tailoring care we put into everything we touch.
The pattern is woven, not printed: soft pink and green flowers set right into the weave. That’s what gives this linen its extra weight compared to our printed tablecloths — you feel it most in the drape, fuller and more sculptural on the table.
It’s an elegant tablecloth for a large outdoor table just as much as for a refined dining room indoors. At home in a rustic setting as much as on a refined table, Primavera has a fixed, engineered pattern: sizes are set and made-to-measure isn’t available. For very large tables, we layer it over a Barolo Vintage Linen Tablecloth, whose wine red picks up the tones of the flowers. Not sure how to dress a big table? The pattern: woven flowers, not printed ones
Primavera brings a floral motif in dusty pink and sage green to the table, set against natural linen. This isn’t a print — it’s a jacquard, meaning the pattern is woven directly into the structure of the cloth rather than applied afterward.
It’s a difference you can see and feel. A jacquard flower has a slight texture under your hand, and the color is never flat — it shifts subtly with the light, depending on how it catches the weave. It’s a pattern equally at home in a rustic setting and on a more refined table: the natural ground and the dusty pink of the flowers work as well with raw wood as they do with fine porcelain.
The fabric: a heavier linen jacquard
The cloth is made from 100% linen, hand-loomed by an artisan mill in Southern Italy that specializes in jacquard weaving.
This is a heavyweight linen jacquard, more substantial than the printed tablecloths in our collection: jacquard weaving needs a denser structure to render the pattern, which translates into a full, almost sculptural drape that needs no adjusting to look right on the table.
The finishing: tailored by hand in Follina
The fabric arrives from the loom unfinished and is completed in our own atelier in Follina, where we apply the same tailoring care we bring to every product that passes through our hands: hand-cut and hand-hemmed, one piece at a time.
The jacquard pattern itself belongs to the weaving tradition of the mill that produces it. We select it, bring it to Follina, and turn it into a tablecloth ready for your table.

In our shops in Follina and San Miguel de Allende, this is the best part of the job: putting one fabric next to another until we find the combination that makes a table come alive.
We don’t work in closed collections. We work in combinations. Our exclusive prints are drawn in our own atelier; solids and jacquards like this one come from the Italian mills we select one by one. It’s mixing them that produces a table that doesn’t look like anyone else’s.

The base for large tables: Barolo Vintage underlay
Primavera comes in generous but fixed sizes. When a table is larger than the cloth, or simply for a layered look, the solution is a linen underlay for a floral tablecloth: the Barolo Vintage Linen Tablecloth is the one we reach for.
Its deep wine red, between bordeaux and garnet, picks up exactly the tones of Primavera’s flowers. Laid underneath, it leaves a frame of color showing around the edge of the table: Barolo works as both base and color echo, never competing with the pattern above it.
The napkins: Vintage in Barolo
To complete the table, solid color linen napkins in Barolo close the loop opened by the underlay: same wine red, same washed linen, for a set that leaves nothing to chance.
Tableware, glass and centerpieces

Made to measure not available. Primavera has an engineered pattern designed for these three fixed sizes: it can’t be made in a different size or in a round format. For a table larger than the sizes available, we recommend layering a Barolo Vintage linen underlay underneath.

Here’s how to care for a linen jacquard tablecloth: machine wash at 86 °F (30 °C), no bleach. Linen jacquard is more structured than a smooth washed linen, so to keep its full drape, we recommend steam ironing while the fabric is still slightly damp. Avoid harsh detergents, which would affect the colors.

We do two things. In our own atelier we design and make the La Bottega di Casa exclusive prints, hand-cut with mitered corners. They are handwoven Italian table linens, but the real work is something else: bringing together fabrics made by different hands and making them work on the same table. We don’t sell closed collections. We build tables.
