Damasco Linen Towel

Price range: $23.91 through $59.20

The Damasco Linen Towel by Tessitura Pardi features an elaborate floral damask created directly through the weave. Its cream base yarn gives the pattern a brighter, clearer definition than the more textural Damasco Rustica version.

Woven from 100% linen in Umbria, Italy, on artisanal looms, it is finished with machine hemstitching and offered in two sizes: 60 × 45 cm / approx. 23.6 × 17.7 in and 120 × 70 cm / approx. 47.2 × 27.6 in.

Decorative without feeling overly formal, it brings Italian woven linen into the everyday bathroom.

Description

A brighter interpretation of woven damask

Damasco takes one of the most enduring motifs in Italian textile design and gives it a lighter expression. Flowers, leaves and scrolling forms are not printed onto the surface: they emerge directly from the structure of the linen weave.

What distinguishes this version is the cream base yarn. Compared with the Damasco Rustica Linen Towel, whose natural linen-colored yarn creates a warmer, more rustic effect, Damasco has greater clarity and a subtly brighter contrast.

The result is a woven damask linen towel that works equally well in a traditional bathroom and in contemporary interiors where texture and pattern are used sparingly but with intention.

Two practical sizes

The 60 × 45 cm / approx. 23.6 × 17.7 in size is a compact option for a guest bathroom or everyday smaller-towel use.

The 120 × 70 cm / approx. 47.2 × 27.6 in size provides a more generous surface for hands and face or for use as the larger towel in a coordinated bathroom setting.

Each towel is sold individually, so the two sizes may be matched in one color or combined more freely.

Color and personal pairings

A damask pattern does not have to make a bathroom feel formal.

Avio Blue works beautifully against pale marble, warm gray stone and aged brass. Natural keeps the cream yarn and woven motif close in tone, emphasizing texture rather than contrast. Mustard is more expressive, bringing warmth to wood, travertine and neutral bathrooms.

Mixing rather than perfectly matching towels can make the room feel more personal. Explore the wider selection of Tessitura Pardi linen towels for other woven patterns and colors.

Linen, finishing and care

Unlike cotton terry, woven linen has a flatter profile and makes the construction of the textile clearly visible. With regular use and washing, the linen gradually becomes softer while retaining its distinctive woven character.

The border is completed with machine hemstitching. Wash at 104°F / 40°C without fabric softener, and always follow the care label supplied with the towel.

Tessitura Pardi and La Bottega di Casa

Damasco is made directly by Tessitura Pardi in Umbria, Italy. La Bottega di Casa selects the collection for the quality of its linen, the richness of its woven designs and the way color can transform an everyday household textile into something more personal.

Rather than requiring every towel to match, we like these fabrics precisely because different patterns and tones can be combined with ease.

About La Bottega di Casa

La Bottega di Casa is an Italian home-linen atelier based in Follina, in the Prosecco Hills. Alongside pieces made in our own workshop, we select textiles from Italian manufacturers whose work reflects our interest in natural fibers, distinctive weaving and carefully considered finishing.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Damasco and Damasco Rustica?
