It is made from the same Limoncello fabric used for the natural linen placemat and table runner, with the addition of a protective surface treatment that slows the absorption of everyday spills and makes cleanup easier.
The pure linen fabric and Limoncello design are by Tessitura Toscana Telerie. The placemat is made by La Bottega di Casa in our Follina workshop in Italy.
Because it is cut from continuously patterned fabric, every placemat displays a different section of the design.

A coated linen placemat with lemons and citrons
The Limoncello placemat brings the fresh colors of Mediterranean citrus fruit to the table. Yellow lemons, citrons, green leaves, and delicate naturalistic drawings appear against the light linen ground, creating a lively pattern that remains easy to coordinate.
Its 15.7 × 19.7-inch size comfortably accommodates a complete place setting while leaving part of the tabletop visible. It is well suited to breakfast, everyday meals, and relaxed but thoughtfully arranged tables, both indoors and on a covered patio or veranda.

The base fabric is 100% printed linen by Tessitura Toscana Telerie. It is the same fabric, with the pattern printed at the same scale, used for the natural linen placemat, Limoncello table runner, and matching napkin.
For this version, the linen is given a protective acrylic finish. The treatment helps slow the immediate absorption of liquid and food residue, giving you time to wipe the surface with a damp cloth. The placemat retains the visible weave and textile appearance of linen while offering easier everyday care than the uncoated version.
“Stain resistant” does not mean completely waterproof or immune to every substance. Spills should always be removed promptly.
The Limoncello design is printed continuously across the fabric. As each placemat is cut, it captures a different arrangement of lemons, citrons, leaves, and smaller graphic details.
The palette and subjects remain coordinated, but no two placemats will be exactly identical. This natural variation is part of the design and gives every place setting its own individual composition.
Use the placemat directly on a wood, stone, or other tabletop to define and protect each place setting without covering the entire surface.
