Our selection includes La Bottega di Casa creations alongside designs from Tessitura Toscana Telerie, Essenza Home and The Napking. Each style brings a different character to the bed: printed percale, cotton sateen, prewashed linen in plain colours or reversible printed linen.

Beyond the material, the construction of the cover and its matching pieces also matter. A set with coordinated pillowcases provides a ready-made starting point, while a reversible design lets you change the look of the bed simply by turning the fabric over.

Reversible duvet covers and customised fabric combinations

Reversible duvet covers allow you to alternate between patterns and combinations using the two sides of the cover. They offer a practical way to vary the look of the bedroom while keeping the same bedding.

The La Bottega di Casa Acero Blu, Ciliegio, Ortensia and Peonia Marrone sets are made from cotton percale and feature combinations of prints, stripes and coordinating patterns. On request, the same fabric can be used on both sides, or two different fabrics can be paired to complement each other.

The product pages for Grace, Munai and Nexus also offer customised fabric combinations. These styles are sewn by La Bottega di Casa using original Tessitura Toscana Telerie fabrics: cotton sateen for Grace and Nexus, and cotton percale for Munai.

The Ikebana and Ilian sets by Tessitura Toscana Telerie include a reversible printed cotton sateen duvet cover with different patterns on each side, together with envelope pillowcases. In the Beautiful Brown set by Essenza Home, both the duvet cover and the pillowcases are reversible, allowing several combinations.

Linen and cotton: two ways to dress the bed

The linen duvet covers in our selection include both plain and printed designs.

The La Bottega di Casa stonewashed linen set is made from pure linen woven by Camillatex in Northern Italy and sewn in our Follina workshop. The prewashing treatment softens the fabric and enhances its naturally relaxed texture. The colour palette includes Barolo, Frosty Green, Old Rose, Panna, Sand and Sunset.

The Knighthia bedding set by The Napking features a reversible printed pure linen duvet cover, accompanied by a printed flat bottom sheet and two pillowcases with flanges on three sides.

Among our cotton duvet covers, you will find percale and sateen: two fabric weaves with different textures and responses to light. Percale generally has a matte surface and a crisp feel, while sateen is smoother and has a subtle sheen.

How to choose the right duvet cover size

Choose your duvet cover size to match the dimensions of your duvet insert. Before buying, compare the width and length of your duvet with the measurements listed on the product page.

The term “double” does not refer to one universal size. In our selection, for example, the Giava, Florette and Jasmine sets have a 250 × 200 cm duvet cover, while Beautiful Brown and Blair have a 255 × 240 cm cover.

The stonewashed linen set offers Italian and American sizes, including Italian single and double sizes, Twin, Queen and King. Other designs offer single, small double, double, Queen and King options: check the available choices on each product page.

Also check for any additional tuck-in flap. In the Knighthia set, for example, the duvet cover measures 250 × 200 cm plus a 40 cm flap, which is listed separately in the description.

Duvet cover sets and bedding sets: what is included?

Not all sets contain the same pieces. When putting your bedding together, distinguish between the duvet cover, pillowcases and any bottom sheet included.

These examples show why the word “set” alone does not establish what is included: the stonewashed linen set contains the cover and pillowcases, while Knighthia also includes a bottom sheet.

The contents listed on the product pages do not include a duvet insert. Before each purchase, check the items included, the number of pillowcases and their dimensions.

Made-to-measure duvet covers and customisation options

The stonewashed linen duvet cover can be made to measure, subject to feasibility. We need the exact width and length of your duvet insert to assess the request.

Customising the fabric combinations is a separate service. For designs that offer this option, you can choose the same fabric on both sides of the cover or combine two coordinating patterns.

Custom sizing and fabric selection should therefore be considered separately. The available options depend on the design and must be agreed with our workshop.

How to coordinate your duvet cover and sheets

A plain duvet cover leaves room for colour nuances and texture. The stonewashed linen set can be paired with bed sheets in the same linen, creating a tone-on-tone arrangement or combining different colours.

Panna and Sand provide a light base, while Barolo, Sunset, Old Rose and Frosty Green introduce deeper, warmer or more muted shades.

With a printed set, you can pick out one of the colours in the pattern for your sheets. Reversible designs allow you to alternate the visible side of the cover and change its relationship with the pillowcases and other bedding layers.

Washing and care: follow the instructions for each style

Care instructions vary according to the fabric and finish.

For the stonewashed linen set, the recommended care is machine washing at 40 °C and natural air drying. Tumble drying is not recommended. Ironing is optional and can be skipped to preserve the linen’s relaxed texture.

The product pages for several cotton sets, including Acero Blu, Ciliegio, Ortensia, Peonia Marrone, Ikebana, Ilian, Grace, Munai and Nexus, specify machine washing at temperatures up to 60 °C.

These temperatures should not automatically be applied to the entire category. Always follow the care label and the specific instructions for the duvet cover you purchase.

How do I choose a double duvet cover?
Measure your duvet insert and compare its width and length with those of the cover. Double duvet covers can have different dimensions: our selection includes, for example, covers measuring 250 × 200 cm and 255 × 240 cm.

Do duvet cover sets include pillowcases?
The sets in our selection include the cover and the pillowcases listed on their product pages. Check the number of pieces and their dimensions for your chosen design and size.

Is a bottom sheet included?
It depends on the product. The Knighthia bedding set includes a flat bottom sheet, while the stonewashed linen set contains the duvet cover and one or two pillowcases, without a bottom sheet.

Is the duvet insert included?
A duvet insert is not listed among the items included on the product pages. The duvet cover and the insert are separate products.

Can I order a made-to-measure duvet cover?
The stonewashed linen design is available made to measure, subject to feasibility. We need the exact dimensions of your duvet insert to assess the request.

Can I choose different patterns for the two sides?
Selected La Bottega di Casa sets allow customised fabric combinations. Acero Blu, Ciliegio, Ortensia, Peonia Marrone, Grace, Munai and Nexus offer this option on request.

Can all duvet covers be washed at the same temperature?
No. The stonewashed linen set specifies washing at 40 °C, while several cotton sets allow temperatures up to 60 °C. Always refer to the instructions for the individual product and its care label.
