Aprons
Kitchen aprons made by La Bottega di Casa by combining different fabrics, textures and colors. The collection includes stone-washed linen styles, cross-back constructions, an apron with an interchangeable tea towel and three limited editions from FOLLIA PURA, our new home label.
Aprons created through textile combinations
Our handcrafted Italian kitchen aprons are made by La Bottega di Casa through a process of fabric selection and combination. Different textures, stripes, solid colors and contrast panels give each design its own construction and visual rhythm.
One apron, interchangeable tea towels
The linen apron with interchangeable tea towel is the collection's most adaptable design. The initial set includes one apron and one tea towel. Replacing the towel changes the color, motif and character of the apron.
Choose a botanical design for spring, a brighter print for summer or a motif related to the table you are setting. Browse our linen and linen-blend tea towels to create a kitchen apron with coordinating tea towels and refresh its appearance without replacing the base apron.
Stone-washed linen, cross-back shapes and contrast panels
The stone-washed linen apron combines a natural-colored central panel with contrasting sides. The striped stone-washed linen apron introduces a vertical rhythm, while the solid-color washed linen apron is defined by a fuller field of color.
The cross-back linen apron with pockets uses a different construction, with crossed straps, side ties and generous front pockets. Published dimensions are not interchangeable among designs: review the measurements listed for the selected product.
These linen aprons combining different textures express La Bottega di Casa's approach: not a uniform series, but textile compositions developed from the material itself.
FOLLIA PURA: a new limited-edition home line
Three aprons belong to FOLLIA PURA, a label owned by La Bottega di Casa for high-quality, limited-edition home products. The project begins with aprons and will gradually expand to other pieces for the home.
The first designs are FOLLIA PURA Gray Stripe — Design 2, FOLLIA PURA Gray Stripe and FOLLIA PURA Terracotta Stripe. These limited-edition FOLLIA PURA aprons are available in the quantities shown on their individual product pages.
How to choose an apron
Begin with the construction:
- choose the interchangeable-towel design if you enjoy changing the pairing;
- select the cross-back design for its crossed straps and side-tie construction;
- explore long stone-washed linen aprons for panels, colors and stripes;
- consider FOLLIA PURA when you are looking for a piece produced in a limited quantity.
Dimensions, materials and details vary.
Beyond cooking
Wrapping shapes and pockets make selected designs suitable not only for cooking but also for serving, painting and other hands-on activities. The right choice depends on the coverage and freedom of movement you prefer.
An apron can also be an Italian kitchen gift for someone who enjoys cooking, hosting or working with textiles. The interchangeable-towel design allows new motifs to be added over time; FOLLIA PURA editions have the character of a small series.
Care instructions
Follow the sewn-in label and the individual product page. The collection combines different fabrics and constructions, so washing temperature, drying and ironing should not be inferred from another design. For general guidance, visit Cleaning Instructions.
The naturally crinkled surface of stone-washed linen may be left visible when that is the desired look. This does not mean every apron in the category has identical care requirements or never needs ironing.
La Bottega di Casa and FOLLIA PURA
Every apron in this category is made by La Bottega di Casa. Five carry the La Bottega di Casa brand; three belong to FOLLIA PURA, its proprietary label for limited editions and new textile explorations for the home.
FAQs
Who makes the aprons?
Every apron is made by La Bottega di Casa through the selection and combination of fabrics with different textures, colors and patterns.
Are all the aprons made from stone-washed linen?
Not necessarily in the same construction or composition. Several product pages specify linen or stone-washed linen, but fabrics and details vary. Review the composition of the selected design.
How does the apron with an interchangeable tea towel work?
The initial set includes one apron and one tea towel. The towel can be replaced with other compatible motifs, changing the apron according to the season or desired pairing.
Can I purchase additional coordinating tea towels?
Yes. Browse the Tea Towels collection and check which designs are already compatible or can be ordered with the attachment required for the apron.
What is FOLLIA PURA?
FOLLIA PURA is a label owned by La Bottega di Casa. It is a new line of high-quality, limited-edition home products, beginning with three aprons and expanding to other pieces in the future.
What is the difference between a cross-back and a long apron?
The cross-back design uses crossed straps and side ties. Long stone-washed linen styles have a different construction, often with panels or a front pocket. Dimensions and details are listed on each product page.
How should I wash the aprons?
Follow the sewn-in label. Fabrics and constructions vary across the collection, so washing, drying and ironing instructions may differ by design.
