An old-world seabed set upon your table: the round charger plates from our Fish collection tell the story of the sea through vintage-style natural history illustrations — vividly coloured fish swimming among golden corals and seaweed on a powder-blue ground.
Made in Italy from an exclusive La Bottega di Casa design, they belong to the family of home accessories we create alongside our linens: perfect for a coastal home, a seafood dinner, or simply bringing a breath of the Mediterranean to the city.
The Fish collection features six exclusive designs, each dedicated to a different fish, portrayed with the precision of antique natural history plates: from the coral-striped scorpionfish to the red-speckled grouper, from silvery sheens to golden liveries. Each subject swims among gold-toned coral branches and seaweed that frame the plate like marine lace, on a powder-blue background with a softly aged, textured effect.
The charger plates are sold individually: set a fully coordinated table with a single design, or mix all six for a collected, curated look — a different inhabitant of the sea at every place setting.
Each rigid charger plate is made of acrylic with a natural cork base: the surface is smooth, stable and easy to wipe clean, while the cork backing protects your tablecloth and table, keeps the charger from sliding, and won’t scratch delicate wooden surfaces.
- Exclusive design, Made in Italy: the marine illustrations of the Fish collection are created in-house at La Bottega di Casa, and each charger plate is made in Italy.
- Practical and durable: the rigid acrylic surface cleans in seconds; the natural cork base protects both table and linens.
- Collectible: six motifs to mix and match, for a coordinated or charmingly mismatched table.
- Made for linen: designed to pair with natural linen tablecloths, placemats and napkins, whose fresh, textured tones it beautifully enhances.
The powder blue and golden details call for a luminous table: try these charger plates on a white Italian linen tablecloth for an elegant seafood dinner, or on ecru linen for a warmer, Mediterranean feel.
They were born for the coastal home — on the bare wooden table of a veranda, they are a seascape in themselves.
La Bottega di Casa is an Italian home linen atelier based in Follina, in the Prosecco Hills of Veneto, with a boutique in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, open since the early 2000s.
Alongside our hand-cut Italian linen tablecloths, we create a line of home accessories for the table — made in Italy from our own exclusive designs — that share the same idea of beauty: natural, long-lasting, made to be used every day.
